About Osaic

About Osaic

Osaic is one of the largest networks of wealth management professionals in the United States, supporting over 11,000 financial advisors. The firm’s goal is to provide scalable digital platforms that empower advisors to manage client relationships, investments, and compliance efficiently.

Problem

Osaic’s wealth management platform was functional but outdated. Advisors struggled with inconsistent workflows, a lack of modern UI patterns, and limited integration of innovative features. Adoption and engagement lagged, particularly among newer advisors who expected a more intuitive digital experience.

To address this, I was contracted through Bruno Collective as the lead product designer. My role was to work on a range of projects aimed at modernizing the advisor platform, streamline its workflows, and establish a scalable design system that could evolve with the product.

Audience

The platform served a wide spectrum of financial professionals, such as independent advisors, small firms, and enterprise-level practices. Their needs ranged from daily transaction management and compliance workflows to long-term portfolio analysis and client reporting.

My Role

My Role

Design System Creation

With only high-level brand guidelines to work from, we built Osaic's first comprehensive design system to establish consistency across the entire platform.

The system included modular components, standardized visual patterns, and scalable foundations that evolved alongside the product redesign, enabling faster development while maintaining design quality at scale.

Workflow Redesign

The most critical parts of the product I tackled were the reporting and homepage experiences. Advisors desired a customizable homepage to best fit their practice, and the ability to synthesize large volumes of client data and investment activity in a clean predictable experience.

Reporting:

Innovation with AI

Partnered with leadership to conceptualize AI-assisted features that would streamline advisor workflows. Through high-fidelity prototypes, I demonstrated how AI could automate time-intensive manual tasks, securing stakeholder buy-in for the initiative.

This initiative also included creating a sizzle reel to build hype for the upcoming integrated AI tools.

User Research & Validation

Collaborated on user research initiatives, including preparing test flows and defining research parameters. Analyzed findings from participants across key user types (OSJs, Advisors, and Assistants) to identify priority needs and validate design directions, translating insights into actionable recommendations.

Key Improvements

Key Improvements

Modernized User Interface

Refreshed the product with clear visual hierarchies, responsive layouts, and a cohesive brand direction, replacing outdated UI patterns and inefficient workflows.

Results

Results

The redesigned product is currently rolling out in phases to positive user feedback. The project scope expanded organically throughout the contract, from initial feature work to the complete platform redesign, reflecting growing trust and the value of the design direction.

The design system and foundational framework enable scalable innovation across the platform. The design language has been successfully extended to additional product areas, creating consistency across the broader ecosystem.

Personal Growth

This project strengthened my ability to work with complex B2B SaaS, build scalable design systems, and adapt to evolving scope in fast-paced environments.
